“Building up a caring community”

  • Locally, through individuals and group activities
  • Nationally, through networking with other churches and organisations

How does it work?

Community House provides opportunities:

  • For groups to meet to cater for the needs of people of all ages, regardless of faith.
  • For groups and individuals to pray, meditate or just relax and be quiet in the Chapel or the Peace Garden.
  • To develop new and innovative forms of Christian worship.
  • To focus on issues of peace and justice and inter-faith understanding in a friendly and non threatening environment by:

          –   Meeting together

          –   Exploring ways of meeting particular concerns

          –   Supporting and encouraging people in marginalized situations.

The building is owned by the Presbyterian Church of Wales with the Church Elders as the Managing Trustees.

The building is managed and organized in partnership with users, Newport City Council and representatives of the local community.
